Twine Comes Out of Stealth with $12M Seed Funding to Reinvent the Cyber Workforce

Twine addresses the critical cybersecurity talent gap by equipping security teams with AI Digital Employees. The Seed funding was led by Dell Technologies Capital and Ten Eleven Ventures

Today, we're announcing a milestone in our journey: a $12M seed funding led by Ten Eleven Ventures and Dell Technologies Capital.

This initial capital will accelerate the development of Twine’s Digital Employees who execute tasks from A to Z to help cybersecurity teams close the industry’s critical talent gap. Our first digital employee, Alex, learns, understands and takes away the burden of Identity and Access Management (IAM) tasks - proactively completing the organization’s cyber objectives.

Our Investors

We are excited to have Founder and General Partner of Ten Eleven Ventures Mark Hatfield and Managing Director of Dell Technologies Capital Deepak Jeevankumar partner with us for this journey. A list of private angel investors and cybersecurity industry leaders have joined to back Twine, including the CEO and Co-Founder of Wiz, Assaf Rappaport, as well as the company’s Co-Founder and VP R&D, Roy Reznik; the CEO and Co-Founder of Endor (who previously sold RedLock to Palo Alto Networks where he became SVP, Prisma Cloud), Varun Badhwar; and others. Their investment and involvement is a vote of confidence in our progress and unique approach as we take on this substantial industry problem. Together, we will unleash the power of AI Digital Employees to change how cybersecurity is done.

Digital Employees to Close The Cyber Industry's Talent Gap

In recent years, the cybersecurity sector has grown significantly to combat the increase in threats and attacks, driven by the adoption of cloud technologies, remote work, and AI tools. However, the industry is facing a severe talent deficit, with the World Economic Forum citing a shortage of nearly 4 million cybersecurity professionals. Furthermore, 78% of cybersecurity leaders acknowledge that their organizations lack the in-house skills needed to fully meet their cybersecurity objectives. This shortage heightens organizational exposure and forces CISOs to focus on firefighting instead of taking a proactive approach to risk management.

Twine’s platform equips cybersecurity teams with digital employees who work alongside cyber teams to complete their security objectives. We recognized Identity Access Management (IAM) as a key pain point for IT and cyber departments, who face the threat of malicious actors gaining access to their systems. Twine’s Alex, the first-of-many Digital Employees for cybersecurity teams, is trained to understand and take care of identity management tasks from start to finish, and help organizations maximize their performance.

Our Team

We have assembled a team of talented people who are led by four founders with more than a 10-year track record together. Our team's deep knowledge and expertise drove the success of multi-billion-dollar-valued cybersecurity company Claroty. Now, we are using what we've learned to build Twine.

After years of seeing the critical talent and capacity shortage in the cybersecurity industry first-hand, we have decided to take action. We have spoken to hundreds of CISOs and industry leaders, and we strongly believe that Twine's novel approach sets us to be a leading vendor in the market.

In the months ahead, we are ready to scale our product, customer base, and team.

We invite you to join us  on our journey to reinvent the cyber workforce with AI Digital Employees.
